Gerlinde Ashley,

our camp director, is a well-known German immersion teacher in the Portland area. She currently teaches at Portland Kinderschule and has worked as a substitute teacher at the French American International School and the Sophie Scholl Schule. In 2016 and 2017, she was the art teacher for Camp Abenteuer and became camp director in 2018. Gerlinde is a natural with kids, she loves working with all ages and takes them seriously by engaging, listening and communicating in a playful but companionate way. “Working with kids is a true joy and makes the world a much brighter place to be. “
